Microsoft Denmark and Microsoft Developer Center Copenhagen (the largest development center in Europe) was determined to ensure that their migration to Microsoft Sharepoint supported how the employees worked as well as Microsoft Denmark’s business goals. At the beginning of 2010 that led them to ask Socialsquare for expert guidance.

Socialsquare conducted a series of in-depth interviews with the relevant stakeholders and departments, analyzed the existing intranet and the collaboration platforms that was used daily, and took a thorough look at the organizational culture. Based on the collected and analyzed data, Socialsquare developed a clear vision for Microsoft Denmark’s future intranet and a concrete business prototype based on the processes and business goals of the organization.

The result of our work was a visionary concept that described how Microsoft Denmark’s intranet could solve several business challenges by being more social and by changing the perspective of the intranet, by going from where communication was a contrast to work to a intranet that supports work as communication unto itself.
