How can Denmark's largest online bookstore capitalize on the social and digital revolution?
In April 2009 SAXO.com, Denmark's largest and most successful online bookstore, asked Socialsquare to help them develop their business further in the digital domain. SAXO.com had much unfulfilled potential and desired an action-oriented social vision that could create a framework for the involvement of customers, suppliers and other actors in the value-chain, as part of the on-going business development.
We designed and facilitated a development process which included the company's key employees and identified and prioritized the challenges facing the company and their opportunities within the digital sphere. Based on this analysis we developed a vision and four prioritized, tangible business prototypes that suggested what position SAXO.com should take in the market and what resources the organisation should plan to invest in.
The collaboration between SAXO.com and Socialsquare was focused on the development and implementation of a social vision and a set of business prototypes that defined why and how the organisation should involve new and future stakeholders in their business development and create new revenue streams. The result of the collaboration advised on how SAXO.com should challenge and re-define their market position and drive the digital development in the Danish book and cultural market and described in detail how this change should take place.
